MIPS Promoting Interoperability Measures
This section describes the Prime Suite workflows that support the 2020 MIPS Promoting Interoperability measures available in Prime Suite Reporting 2020.
Before using Prime Suite Reporting, you must configure a provider group in Prime Suite's Group Administration. See Including Data on Prime Suite Reporting for more information.
| MIPS ID | Measure Name | Measure Summary |
|---|---|---|
| PI_EP_1 | Permissible prescriptions go through a formulary check and are ordered electronically in Prime Suite. Permissible prescriptions can either include or exclude controlled substances. | |
| PI_PEA_1 |
Provide Patients Electronic Access to Their Health Information |
The patient or the authorized patient representative is provided timely access to his or her health information, and the patient's health information is available to access using any application of their choice that is configured to meet the technical specifications of the Application Programming Interface (API) in Prime Suite. |
| PI_HIE_1 |
Support Electronic Referral Loops by Sending Health Information |
The EP that transitions or refers their patient to another setting of care or health care provider creates a summary of care record with Prime Suite and electronically exchanges the summary of care record. |
| PI_HIE_4 |
Support Electronic Referral Loops by Receiving and Incorporating Health Information |
The EP with a new patient uses information from an existing summary of care document to perform a review and reconciliation of the patient's medications, medication allergies, and current problem list. |
The new Query of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and Verify Opioid Treatment Agreement measures are optional (bonus) for 2020 MIPS PI reporting and are not currently supported in Prime Suite Reporting 2020. Refer to CMS guidelines for information on attesting for these measures.
